Is Fairview Township a good place to live?

The everyday basics are strong; the price of a home is the catch. Its best grade is for schools: its public schools beat 94% of Pennsylvania towns on state tests and graduation. Fairview Township’s overall grade of A− puts it better than nearly four fifths of U.S. towns, 345th of 1032 in Pennsylvania. Add incomes to its strengths — the median household earns $112K. What holds it back is cost of living (C−): the typical home is worth about $295K, 4.7 years of the Erie metro’s $63K median household income. Sturgeon House is on the National Register of Historic Places. Half of adults 25 and older hold a bachelor’s degree or more locally, above both the Pennsylvania town median (29%) and the median of U.S. towns (29%).
