Is Maryland a good place to live?

Maryland’s best subject grades are an A for civic life and an A− for history; its weakest is a D− for walkability. 32% of residents are 65 or older in Maryland, where New York’s towns sit at 20% and U.S. towns at 18%. Only 7 of New York’s 1,216 towns score lower on walkability. Maryland's schools rank behind 86% of the state's. Robert V. Riddell State Park, at 1,290 acres with 2.1 miles of trail, is the biggest park or preserve. Maryland has fewer than 2,500 residents, so it gets subject grades but no overall grade.
