Is Marbletown a good place to live?

A town of contrasts. Where it falls short is cost of living (C−): the typical home is worth about $466K, 5.4 years of the Kingston metro’s $86K median household income. Its strongest is health: CDC estimates put its residents' health ahead of 83% of the country. All told, that adds up to a C overall and a rank of 512th of 745 in New York. On that grade it does better than 34% of U.S. towns. On civic life, just 21 of New York’s 1,187 towns do better. Marbletown is home to Ulster County Community College. History is its standout character grade: an A+, better than 99% of U.S. towns, with 9 places on the National Register.
