A good place to live, if you can afford it. Where it does best is health: residents are healthier than 97% of U.S. towns on CDC estimates. It also does well on schools: its schools outperform 96% of the state's. The drawback is cost of living (D): the typical home is worth about $608K, 6.7 years of the Dallas metro’s $90K median household income. Hazard risk is weaker too: FEMA rates its natural-hazard risk higher than just over three quarters of U.S. communities, with inland flooding at the top. Put together, the subjects come to an A overall, ranking 17th of 640 in Texas. That leaves it better than 87% of U.S. towns. 70% of adults 25 and older hold a bachelor’s degree or more in Coppell, above both Texas’ towns (23%) and U.S. towns (29%).
