Wyoming towns list more on the Register than most of the country (a typical Wyoming town has 25.1 per 10,000 residents, the U.S. 2.4), so Saratoga’s 17.2 sits near the middle of its state (54% of Wyoming towns have fewer) while its 3 listings outnumber those of 65% of U.S. towns.

How sure. Graded on any two of the three inputs instead, the letter would range from C to B. The pre-1940 share is a Census survey estimate (±6.3 points). The founding year is the first post office, not a stated founding date.

The story so far

Saratoga, in brief

Wikipedia doesn’t have a history of Saratoga yet. The photos, dates and memories neighbors add here are how it gets written.

Saratoga is a town in Carbon County, Wyoming, United States. The population was 1,702 at the 2020 census. Saratoga is the home of the Steinley Cup microbrew festival and competition, usually held in August at Veterans Island Park, a playground and picnic facility on a small island in the North Platte River, which is designated a Blue Ribbon Stream by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department. Saratoga also has a public pool heated by a hot spring. Its two largest employers are the United States Forest Service and Carbon County School District No. 2, both public sector employers. The town's motto is "Where The Trout Leap In Main Street." The local newspaper is the Saratoga Sun.

Its first post office opened in 1884. Its population held steady between the last two censuses: 1,690 in 2010, 1,702 in 2020.
