Living in Orient, WA: what to set up and who to call

An EPA health-based violation from 2026 is still open for Orient Water Company, and its latest lead result (5.0 ppb) was higher than 90% of similar systems’, though under the 15 ppb action level. Orient has no town government of its own, so Ferry County runs its elections and most services, and its children attend Orient School District.

Orient has no town government. It’s a census-designated place in Ferry County, so the county and regional agencies provide most services. This page answers what we can; the same answers appear on Orient’s town page under “Getting set up”.
