Fairfax History Surprise

I was reading about the founding of Fairfax and stumbled upon the fact that it's an incorporated town, which made me wonder if newer residents know that Fairfax is actually bordered by San Anselmo to the east. What do you think is the most interesting part of Fairfax's geography or history that not many people know about?
