Is Sandusky a good place to live?

It grades C− overall, 885th among Ohio's 987 graded towns. The low prices come with trade-offs. On the plus side, it is easier to get around on foot or by transit than 96% of U.S. towns. History is its standout character grade: an A+, better than 96% of U.S. towns, with 115 places on the National Register. 26% of residents live below the poverty line in Sandusky, above both the Ohio town median (9.1%) and the median of U.S. towns (9.6%). Its National Register listings include Cedar Point Light and Rush R. Sloane House. Only 93 of Ohio’s 1,718 towns score higher on the outdoors.
