Is Clermont a good place to live?

Clermont’s best subject grades are an A− for health, an A+ for history, and an A for civic life; its weakest is a C− for cost of living. 44% of adults 25 and older hold a bachelor’s degree or more in Clermont, above both New York’s towns (32%) and U.S. towns (29%). 17% of the land in Clermont is conserved, against 5.2% in New York’s towns and 4.3% across U.S. towns. Its National Register listings include Clermont and Clermont Estates Historic District. On civic life, just 53 of New York’s 1,187 towns do better. Clermont has fewer than 2,500 residents, so it gets subject grades but no overall grade.
