Why does Haddonfield grade so well?

Haddonfield’s strongest subject is health (A+). What counts against it is cost of living: the typical home is worth about $854K, 9.4 years of the Philadelphia metro’s $91K median household income. Overall, that makes an A, good for 52nd of 466 in New Jersey. On that grade it does better than 94% of U.S. towns. Only 1 of New Jersey’s 527 towns score higher on civic life. Nearly four in five adults 25 and older hold a bachelor’s degree or more here, above both New Jersey’s towns (45%) and U.S. towns (29%). The town is more walkable than 98% of U.S. towns. History is its standout character grade: an A+, better than 100% of U.S. towns, with 6 places on the National Register.
