Is Newmarket a good place to live?

For most people who can afford it, yes. Newmarket grades A− overall, 37th of 125 graded towns in New Hampshire. CDC estimates put its residents' health ahead of 94% of the country. Crime is low: it reports less per resident than 91% of U.S. towns and the median household earns $101K. History is its standout character grade: an A+, better than 96% of U.S. towns, with 2 places on the National Register. 26% of the land in Newmarket is conserved, above both New Hampshire’s towns (18%) and U.S. towns (4.3%). Its National Register listings include Newmarket Industrial and Commercial Historic District and Stone School. Only 5 of the 126 New Hampshire towns we compare have a lower share of households owning their home than Newmarket.
