CDC estimates put its residents' health ahead of 96% of the country and the median household earns $129K. What holds it back is price: homes are expensive, about $595K for a typical one and 4.7 times the Washington metro’s $127K median household income. 66% of adults 25 and older hold a bachelor’s degree or more in Rockville, above both the Maryland town median (42%) and the median of U.S. towns (29%). Few places in the country are easier to get around without a car. Its National Register listings include Frieda Fromm-Reichmann Cottage and Beall-Dawson House.
