Is Rockville a good place to live?

Rockville gives you more for your money than most places: a typical home costs about $232K, 3.4 years of the county’s $68K median household income. It grades B− overall, 355th among Indiana's 585 graded towns. The low prices come with trade-offs. On the plus side, it is easier to get around on foot or by transit than 87% of U.S. towns. History is its standout character grade: an A+, better than 97% of U.S. towns, with 3 places on the National Register. 20% of residents live below the poverty line in Rockville, above both the Indiana town median (10%) and the median of U.S. towns (9.6%). Only 42 of Indiana’s 1,098 towns score higher on history.
