Is New Albany a good place to live?

It grades C overall, 479th among Indiana's 585 graded towns. The low prices come with trade-offs. On the plus side, its schools outperform 83% of the state's. History is its standout character grade: an A, better than 94% of U.S. towns, with 19 places on the National Register. Its National Register listings include New Albany National Cemetery and Culbertson Mansion. Only 107 of Indiana’s 1,098 towns score lower on hazard risk. New Albany is home to Indiana University-Southeast.
