It grades C− overall, 107th among Arizona's 139 graded towns. The low prices come with trade-offs. On the plus side, it has 24 miles of trail and 52% conserved land. Globe’s violent offense rate is 8.5 per 1,000 residents, above both the Arizona town median (2.5) and the median of U.S. towns (1.6). On history, just 2 of Arizona’s 207 towns do better. Globe's civic life (library use, community groups, volunteering) is stronger than in 87% of U.S. towns.
