What Used to Be There

I was driving along the shore of Lake St. Clair the other day and couldn't help but wonder what used to stand in some of the spots we see today in Grosse Pointe Farms. What's a place in town that you remember being something entirely different in the past, or one that you've heard stories about from older neighbors?
