Choosing a School in Zavalla

We're a family new to Zavalla and we're trying to decide on a school for our kids, and I was wondering if anyone has any advice about the Zavalla Independent School District, particularly since we've heard great things about the community support for the local schools. What have your experiences been like with the schools here, and do you have any recommendations for a family looking to get involved in the local education system?
