Wyckoff History

I was thinking about how our town got its name and I stumbled upon the fact that what is now Wyckoff was a certain way from the mid-18th century, but I couldn't find much information on the specifics of how it came to be called Wyckoff. Does anyone know more about the story behind our town's name?
