Free Afternoon Fun

It's a beautiful day in Center, despite the forecast saying it's mostly cloudy, and I was thinking of taking my kids out on an adventure. Since we have such a short average commute to work, I figure many of us have some extra free time in the afternoons. What's the best local spot to take kids or a dog on a free afternoon like today?
