New to Monteagle

I just moved to Monteagle and I'm excited to explore this beautiful town in the Cumberland Plateau region. I've heard that the stretch of Interstate 24 that passes through here can be treacherous, so I'm curious to learn more about the local roads and favorite routes. What are some of the first things I should do or try as a newcomer to this area?
