Free Afternoon Fun

With the beautiful weather we're having, I was thinking of taking my kids out to enjoy the partly sunny day today. The New Paris Ball Diamonds are probably bustling with activity, but I'm looking for something a bit more low-key. What's the best local spot to take kids or a dog on a free afternoon like this?
