Atwood Then and Now

I was driving down Main Street the other day and noticed the Atwood Fire Department, it made me think about how our village has changed over time. Main Street has been the heart of our community for years, running along the county line with Douglas County to the east and Piatt County to the west. What used to be in a particular spot in town before the current businesses and buildings took over?
