What Used to Be There

I was out driving around Mathias the other day and noticed the beautiful Trout Lake, it made me think about how our town has changed over the years. With a population that has remained relatively small, at around 532 people, I wonder what some of these areas looked like before they became the scenic spots we know today. What used to be at the spot where Trout Lake is now?
