Irving Township is a township in Kandiyohi County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 787 at the 2000 census. Irving Township was organized in 1868. According to Warren Upham, the township was probably named for Washington Irving, an American author.

Its first post office opened in 1857. Between the 2010 and 2020 censuses its population grew from 906 to 965 (+7%).
