Living in Shasta, CA: what to set up and who to call

Shasta has no town government of its own, so Shasta County runs its elections and most services, and its children attend Shasta Union High School District. Tap water in Shasta comes from the Shasta C.s.d. water system, which has a clean five-year EPA record (about 22% of systems its size had a health-based violation) and a latest lead result of 1.0 ppb.

Shasta has no town government. It’s a census-designated place in Shasta County, so the county and regional agencies provide most services. This page answers what we can; the same answers appear on Shasta’s town page under “Getting set up”.
