Fayetteville’s best subject grade is a B+ for cost of living; its weakest is a D− for walkability. Fayetteville’s average trip to work is 54 minutes, where Alabama’s towns sit at 25 minutes and U.S. towns at 25 minutes. On walkability, just 23 of Alabama’s 308 towns do worse. FEMA rates its natural-hazard risk higher than 90% of U.S. communities, with inland flooding at the top. Its National Register listings include Welch-Averiett House and William Watters House. Fayetteville has fewer than 2,500 residents, so it gets subject grades but no overall grade.
