Sharing Kidder History

I was reading about how our city was laid out in 1860 by H.B. Kidder to encourage European immigrants to settle along the Hannibal and St. Joseph Railroad, which was the furthest west railroad in the United States at the time. This got me wondering, what changes have longtime residents seen in Kidder over the years, especially in terms of how the community has grown and developed from its early roots?
