About Blockhaus
Blockhaus is the only inscrit historic monument in Éperlecques, the second of France’s two levels of protection. The list dates its work to 1942 (20th c.). The list names its makers: Speer Albert (architecte);Dorsch Xavier (ingénieur). It has been inscrit since 1986.
Le blockhaus d'Éperlecques est un bunker de la Seconde Guerre mondiale situé dans la forêt d'Éperlecques appartenant à la commune du même nom dans le département français du Pas-de-Calais. De nom de code Kraftwerk Nord West (KNW), il fut construit par l'Allemagne nazie de 1943 à 1944 pour servir de base de lancement aux missiles V2 visant Londres et le Sud de l'Angleterre.
